Tattani Hot Spring Camping — Bir Billing
Bathe at dawn in the natural hot-spring waters of Tattani, a hidden spring near Bir Billing
Overview
Tattani (also known as Tattapani) is known for its natural hot sulphur spring gushing at around sixty-five degrees Celsius close to the mountain. The native population has long known its miraculous properties and people come from all over the state to bathe in the sulphur spring — it provides relief from joint pain, fatigue and stress, and skin conditions, and holds a high meditative quality. Tattani is a perfect place for enjoyment and relaxation, and a renowned pilgrimage for Hindus; the devout consider the month of Magh (January–February) auspicious for a dip. Dips are also taken on Baisakhi (April), during the major agricultural festival.
